The 2013 foray will be held at Matawai, situated halfway between Gisborne and Opotiki in the East Cape region.
Dates: Sunday 12th May to Sat 18th May 2013.
Accommodation: There is a limited number of beds (approx. 20) available at the Matawai Hotel. These vary from old style hotel rooms to backpackers. There will also be accommodation in some very comfortable shearers’ quarters (15km from Matawai), and at the Motu Community House (20km from Matawai). There are also some farm stays available in the area for those who wish to seek alternative accommodation for themselves.
The foray will be based in the Matawai Community Hall.
The cost of the foray is expected to be in the vicinity of $80-$100 per day depending on accommodation opted for.
